SECHRIST Model ¥³-200 SAVI

Exclusive Technology For Patient-Triggered

Breathing. The Sechrist IV-200 Infant Ventilator features the SAVI¢â Total Synchrony System. It's the only electronic patient-triggered system that works consistently with Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) infants, letting them control their inhalation and exhalation as naturally as possible. Synchronized inhalation and exhalation-on-demand means:

Less oxygen exposure
Lower ventilator pressures
Less time on ventilatory support

SAVI¢â Works in Harmony With The Infant.
The SAVI¢â system uses impedance pneumography for precise initiation of inhalation and exhalation. It not only senses the onset of inspiratory effort, but also the onset of exhalation, terminating the positive pressure breath. "Exhalation-on-demand" means infants no longer
have to "fight the ventilator." This may also reduce barotrauma.

Completely Electronic With A Fail-Safe Backup.
SAVI¢â easily connects to a neonatal cardio-respiratory monitor,
(with a real-time analog respiratory waveform output) which acts as a signal source for
the infant's thoracic impedance.
At the onset of inhalation or exhalation, an electronic signal initiates
the IV-200's normal inspiratory phase.
Should patient effort fail to initiate the inspiratory phase, the system immediately operates at the back-up respiratory rate.

The new Total Synchrony SAVI¢â. Even the smallest infants can now breathe easier.
